Pumpkin & Walnut Jam 240g

This pumpkin and walnut jam is an absolute winner on a cheeseboard. A thick and sweet jam made with fresh, soft pumpkins and crunchy walnuts. The jam has a pleasant bite, a slightly sweet taste and a hint of cinnamon.

This jam is made from fresh Portuguese pumpkins. This is unusual because most jams are made from frozen fruit. That's probably why this jam is so delicious.

Not all jams are the same color. The harvest season in Portugal runs from July to December. Early harvest means yellowish jam, the pumpkins harvested later in the year make the jam more orange. The month of harvest has no influence on the taste: the pumpkins are definitely ripe before they are made into this delicious jam.

This jam will enhance any cheese plate, especially hard cheeses like Roquefort or Manchego. It also goes very well with fried chorizo. And have you ever thought of mixing a spoonful of this jam with yogurt? Delicious!
