Small crispy bread sticks from Italy prepared with olive oil and seasoned with garlic and parsley. Delicious as a snack or as a side dish to soup or salad. Grissini is a bread specialty from the Italian region of Piedmont. Here, these crispy bread sticks are eaten with practically every dish or, according to a traditional recipe, wrapped in wafer-thin Parma ham (prosciutto di parma). The breadstick dough contains, among other things, flour, water, yeast, olive oil and a pinch of salt. Grissini are so beautifully crispy because all the air is kneaded out of the dough during preparation.
