Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from Spanish Catalonia, near Barcelona. It is single-variety and made from 100% Arbequina olives. This award-winning Spanish oil is characterized by a full, fruity and slightly sweet taste. Background information.
The Arbequina olives are picked by hand from November to January and processed into oil within a few hours using the "cold press method". This traditional olive pressing ensures that the taste is optimally preserved and a high-quality olive oil with a low acid content is created.
In 2005-2006, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture awarded the Montbrio del Camp cooperative the first prize for the high quality and fruity taste of this oil. In addition, a number of other international awards were won, such as a first prize for the best and cleanest press system and press mill.
Use This Arbequina EVOO is best added to the food at the very end so that it can develop its optimal taste. It tastes great with tomatoes, eggs and fish dishes, it is wonderful for dipping bread or as a butter substitute in mashed potatoes. Perfect for mixing with our O & V herbal mixtures.
