The Caesar Dressing is the perfect base for a Caesar salad. It is full-bodied, creamy and intense in taste. For the original recipe you only need to add some romaine lettuce, fresh parmesan cheese, garlic and croutons. Today, the Caesar salad is often prepared with chicken fillet and egg, anchovies or fried bacon cubes. For real gourmets, we recommend frying the croutons yourself with Mélange de France.
The famous Caesar salad was born out of necessity. Italian chef Caesar Cardini didn't have enough ingredients in the house for all his guests, so he threw together what he had into a salad. To his surprise, his guests came back specifically for the salad and that's when he realized he had created something special. His salad became a hit worldwide!
