In the Gragnano region of Italy, high-quality pasta has been traditionally produced for over 500 years. Farfalle Giganti are large bow or butterfly noodles with small folds, which are a real feast for the eyes thanks to their decorative appearance. The secret in production lies in the use of the best durum wheat semolina, which makes the pasta particularly dimensionally stable, and pure, soft spring water from the mountains of Gragnano. In addition, the noodles are pulled through bronze pasta molds and then dried particularly slowly, which gives them their roughness and the sauce sticks particularly well.
Beetroot, tomatoes and spinach provide the natural color. Farfalle go particularly well with strong, chunky sauces, with sauces with salmon, rocket and cherry tomatoes, with creative vegetable sauces, perfect for pasta salad.
