Hazelnut oil comes from France and is made 100% from hazelnuts. This oil can be heated up to a maximum of 160°C. Excessive heating may affect the aroma.
The full hazelnut flavor pairs excellently with vinegar or lemon juice to prepare a light, flavorful vinaigrette for salads. To preserve the taste, it is best added to a dish at the end. Excellent with grilled meat or fish, pasta, potatoes, beans, cheese, carpaccio, or for dipping bread.
This hazelnut oil is produced using a 150-year-old traditional French method. After harvest, the nuts are washed, sorted, dried in the sun for several days, and stored for further drying. They are then ground and slowly roasted in cast iron kettles. The resulting paste is cold-pressed in a hydraulic press and, after mechanical suction, lightly filtered and bottled. This production method ensures the intense hazelnut flavor. The remaining residues are sold as animal feed or used in bakeries.
