Grissini are a bread specialty that originate in the Italian region of Piedmont. In Italy, grissini, or another bread substitute, are standard on every table. Since ancient times, breadsticks have been eaten primarily as a snack, wrapped with wafer-thin slices of Parma ham. Grissini are always deliciously crispy, the result of special artisan preparation. All the air is kneaded out of the dough during preparation. The dough for this bread specialty is made from wheat flour, water, yeast, olive oil and a pinch of salt

Currently, breadsticks are not only eaten in the Italian region of Piedmont, the product has now gained a permanent place on the tables of many Italians and Italian restaurants.
