Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil

From the Chania region, the westernmost province of the Greek island of Crete. This olive oil is made from 100% Koroneiki olives. More than 60% of the entire Greek olive harvest is Koroneiki. And for good reason: Koroneiki olives are famous for their delicate, fruity and rich taste.

The olives are relatively small and grow well in warm and dry climates. The oldest tree that still produces olives grows in Chania. This tree with the Greek name Elia Vouvon has reached the respectable age of at least 2000 years. Some even estimate the age of the tree to be 4,000 years old!

This tree symbolizes the long tradition of olive cultivation on Crete.
