Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil

From the region of Chania, the westernmost province of the Greek island of Crete. This olive oil is made from 100% Koroneiki olives. More than 60% of the entire Greek olive harvest are Koroneiki. And for good reason: Koroneiki olives are famous for their fine, fruity, and rich taste.

The olives are relatively small and thrive well in warm and dry climates. The oldest tree still producing olives grows in Chania. This tree, with the Greek name Elia Vouvon, has reached the respectable age of at least 2000 years. Some even estimate the age of the tree to be 4000 years!

This tree stands as a symbol of the long tradition of olive growing in Crete.
