This dry herbal mixture - without salt! - has an Italian character due to natural ingredients such as red peppers, oregano, garlic, basil, onion and thyme. Delicious with bread, pasta, pizza, fish and meat or as a dip with raw vegetables. The Italian word miscuglio, pronounced like misculio, literally means mixture and is originally a spaghetti mix. However, the Oil & Vinegar Miscuglio Italiano is much more than that. This delicious aromatic herbal mixture, completely without salt, can be used in many different ways. All you have to do is mix the Miscuglio herbs 1:1 with warm water, add some extra virgin olive oil to taste and the mixture is ready.
Smear Italian ciabatta or other toasted bread with soaked miscuglio and let it au gratin for a few minutes with grated cheese or mozzarella under the grate, if desired. Or mix Miscuglio with good butter for a delicious Italian herb butter that not only tastes great on bread, but also melted over meat or fish. Do you care about your figure? Then simply mix the Italian herbal mixture with quark or cottage cheese: a delicious dip for raw vegetables!
Sprinkle dry Miscuglio Italiano over pasta sauce, lasagna or casseroles. Mix them into your ground beef for an Italian-seasoned patty, or flavor your omelette with a spoonful of dry Miscuglio Italiano. The mixture also ensures an excellent aroma in the oven: simply steam the fish, Italian herbs, tomatoes, leek and a slice of lemon. Tip: Prepare a marinade of olive oil and Miscuglio herbs and let the olives marinate in it for a while. Simply heavenly! And of course you can also use this herbal oil afterwards for your salad or for roasting meat.
