This type of rice is mainly grown in the Italian Po Valley. Arborio is not a short-grain rice, as is often assumed, but a type of rice that falls between long-grain and round-grain. The Arborio grains absorb a lot of moisture and still remain firm when cooked. This makes it an ideal risotto rice. The risotto mix contains a herb mix with natural ingredients such as tomato, basil, onion, parsley, oregano and other herbs and spices. Preparing a delicious risotto has never been easier than with the Risotto Pomodoro!

Italian risotto is very easy to prepare: melt a small lump of butter and add the risotto Pomodoro. Then stir-fry the rice on a low flame for two minutes. Add a glass of white wine and stir the mixture until the wine has evaporated. Then take 900 ml of broth or hot water, add this to the risotto and stir the whole thing again briefly. Cook the rice on low flame for 15 to 18 minutes and serve warm. Very tasty with Parmesan cheese and a little extra virgin olive oil.
