Pure tomato sauce based on cherry tomatoes, flavored with red chili pepper. Made as several generations of "mamma"s" do in Sicily, with lots of love and patience.Salsa della Mamma was created right after World War II. Two grandmothers from south-eastern Sicily made this sauce from ripe cherry tomatoes, leaving them in small chunks Cook batches slowly to preserve flavor. To preserve them for the winter they used the characteristic 33cl bottles to bottle the tomato sauce. This recipe has been passed down from generation to generation and is still practiced today and is used to make the salsa della Mamma made this way, with the same love and patience, in the same characterized bottle.

The salsa della Mamma Arrabbiata is easy to use, you only need to heat the tomato sauce for a few minutes and the salsa is ready, to be spread over the pasta.
