Olives are usually used either as a table olive or for the production of olive oil. However, this type of olive is suitable for both because of its fat content.
The traditional olive Nocellara del Belice comes from the Belicetal region (river in western Sicily) of Castelvetrano Selinute (Trapani province). Due to the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP), only olives from this region can officially be called Nocellara. However, the producer of our olives is located about 10 minutes from Castelvetrano. Unfortunately, these olives are not allowed to bear the name, but they are the same variety.
USE
They taste best straight from the glass, with a glass of white wine or with an aperitif. Ideal on an antipasto plate with goat cheese, deseeded and chopped to make a fine tapenade.
